What is the error range of the fuel dispenser

The error range of fuel dispensers is regulated according to national standards to ensure the accuracy and fairness of fuel measurement. Specifically, the error range of fuel dispensers mainly includes the following aspects:

What is the error range of the fuel dispenser

First, maximum allowable error

Under normal flow conditions, the maximum allowable error of the fuel dispenser is ± 0.3%. This means that during the normal refueling process, the error between the displayed refueling amount and the actual refueling amount should not exceed plus or minus 0.3%.

Small measurement (small flow refueling): For the small measurement of the refueling machine, that is, when refueling with small flow, the maximum allowable error should be controlled within ± 0.5%. This is because when refueling with low flow rate, the accuracy of the measurement may be affected to some extent due to the small flow rate, so a slightly larger error range is allowed.

Secondly, repeatability error

The repeatability error of the fuel dispenser should not exceed 0.15%. This means that when refueling multiple times under the same conditions, the displayed refueling amount on the refueling machine should remain consistent, and its repeatability error should be controlled within a small range.

Thirdly, the error of the flowmeter measurement converter

The maximum allowable error of the flow measurement converter should not exceed ± 0.2%, and its repeatability should not exceed 0.1%. The flow measurement converter is a key component used in fuel dispensers to measure fuel flow, and its error range also needs to be strictly controlled to ensure the accuracy of measurement.

Fourth, other relevant requirements

The ratio of the maximum flow rate Qmax to the minimum flow rate Qmin of the newly produced fuel dispenser should not be less than 10:1, and the flow measurement converter should also meet this requirement. This is to ensure that the fuel dispenser can maintain stable metering performance at different flow rates.

The minimum volume variation of the fuel dispenser should not exceed 0.02L to further ensure the accuracy of the measurement.

Fifth, Precautions

If there is an error during the use of the fuel dispenser, and the cumulative error exceeds 0.6% five times, the fuel dispenser will automatically lock. At this time, the market supervision bureau must investigate the situation and unlock it before it can be reused.

All fuel gauges only display a rough estimate of the fuel level in the fuel tank and cannot be used as a basis for judging the accuracy of the fuel dispenser's measurement.
